Photo Annual
What to enter

All submissions must include the following:
- Explanatory Brief (maximum length one side of A4, preferred file format: Word document)
- Image/s* (preferred file format: RGB jpeg or tif for still images, and mov, mpeg, mp4 or mp3 files for moving image entries)
- Credits** must be detailed when entering online. This can include any agencies involved, assistants, retouching, set design, stylists or anyone else deemed as a contributor
Any work entered must have been produced or first launched/broadcast/published between 2nd June 2012 and 2nd June 2013 to be eligible for entry.
Entry Information
In order to keep the cost of entry down and to make the process as easy as possible, all entries must be submitted online as digital images only.
Entrants may set their own DPI and image size but should bear in mind that the judges will view all images digitally on a computer monitor. If any judge feels that an entry is of insufficient resolution to be viewed properly, we will allow the entrant to submit a bigger file.
In those cases in which images have appeared as advertising layouts or magazine spreads it is preferable that the entrant provide the image/s both on their own and also in the original context of the layout/spread. The Photography Annual only uses the original image; however CR reserves the right to show the work in context if it is deemed appropriate. If a piece of work is selected for the Photography Annual, the entrant may be asked to re-submit the image at a suitable size for print.
Please note, judges are not allowed to select work commissioned by themselves or by their organisation. Please bear this in mind when entering your work.
To read about the categories into which you can submit your work, please see the Categories page.
*Image/s
When making your entry you may upload 1 image for a Single Entry and a maximum of 6 images for a Series Entry. Where the category deems that it would also be helpful to submit an image of the work ‘in context', additional images will be accepted.
Work should be submitted in the following formats: RGB jpeg or tif for still images, and mov, mpeg, mp4 or mp3 files for moving image entries.
Please ensure that your explanatory brief and any images together do not exceed the maximum upload limit of 5MB per entry.
Should you need to submit files larger than 5MB, please ensure that you complete and submit your entry/ies online first. Once submitted you will receive an automated email from the website containing your entry number/s. You must label all files with the corresponding entry number/s and save onto a CD/USB and send by post/courier to:
