The Joy of Sets x The Kubrick Archive will reimagine an iconic scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey, with 1:1 scale sets created using concept artwork, props and behind-the-scenes imagery from UAL’s Kubrick Archive. The exhibition is curated by Ben Stopher, programme director for interactive and visual communication at LCC, and aims to explore how we imagine, prototype and design the future.

Also on is Ivan Chermayeff: Cut and Paste, a touring exhibition of the graphic designer’s work that was first shown at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea. (Chermayeff’s father Serge was one of the Pavilion’s architects). The show focuses on Chermayeff’s personal work and features a colourful collection of posters.

SE1 Data Stories visualises the changing face of London’s SE1 postcode over the past 100 years while Elephant Press features print work by 20 recent graduates and alumni. Design. What is it Good For? reflects on the role of design with posters and manifestos from creatives around the world.

LCC is also hosting free filmmaking, printmaking and projection workshops. Events run until October 14 – see arts.ac.uk/lcc/events for details.
