Blend is described by multi-disciplinary studio Raw Color as a range of products, experiments and installations that relate to its research in colour.
A trio of paper shredders produce a colourful paper trail in response to visitors’ movements while fans with coloured blades (pictured top) are programmed to blend colours by motion.
Translucent dyed woollen panels are also on show alongside the Index Collection – a series of towels and blankets that show the different tones used to create coloured textiles.
The studio has created three new projects for the exhibition: Graphic Time is described as ‘graphic interpretations of clocks that are somewhere between a kinetic object and a functional time piece’, Colour Compositions is a series of abstract photo prints of paper compositions and Blend Rugs is a prototype of a rug developed with Spanish brand Nanimarquina.
See Blend at The Aram Gallery,110 Drury Lane, Covent Garden WC2B 5SG from 19 September – 29 October 2016.
