All the Grand Prix winners at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2023
Catch up on all the Grand Prix winners at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, where 34 of the top prizes were handed out across 32 categories
The annual jamboree that is the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity took place last week, bringing ad agencies, brands, tech companies and more to the south of France to hear talks, party, and have meetings, meetings, meetings.
Now in its 70th year, Cannes Lions is an exciting and epic affair with events happening both on the official programme but also in specially constructed pavilions all along the beachfront and beyond, where famous figures from music, entertainment and sport rubbed shoulders with those from the industry, all there to share their views on the future of advertising, marketing and tech.
Each Cannes Lions will usually be dominated by one topic and this year this was inevitably AI. Both those creating generative AI platforms and those using them discussed how it will change the boundaries of creativity and the industry as a whole, with the arrival of a new report from Forrester predicting that 7.5% of ad jobs in the US would be taken over by AI by 2030 providing a sinister backdrop.
Despite the plethora of talks taking place, the backbone of Cannes Lions remains its awards, with the winners in its – deep breath – 32 categories announced over the course of the week.
There were countless bronze, silver and gold awards handed out but the most coveted prize is the Grand Prix, of which 34 were awarded this year. It is these awards that give the strongest sense of where the industry sees itself or where it wants to go in the future. We have listed them all below: get stuck in.
