TBWA\Media Arts Lab: Apple iPhone, Coup de Bol

Coup de Bol is a one-minute film created by emerging directors Johanna Benaïnous and Elsa Parra, which was shot entirely with an Apple iPhone. The film is the first in a series from Apple France titled Le Jeune Cinéma (The Young/New Cinema), which aims to support young French filmmakers (while also showing off the capabilities of the iPhone). This series follows previous films for Apple by established directing talents Michel Gondry and Axel Morin.

Benaïnous and Parra’s charming short tells the story of a little boy having a bad hair day on his first day at school, which ends with an unexpected twist. Alongside Coup de Bol, the directors also created a series of films with tips for shooting on the iPhone, to encourage other directors.
