These atmospheric photographs of a group of young men playing basketball were shot in south-east London in early July after a period of strict social restrictions in the UK due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It was a beautiful morning and everyone around was embracing the easing of lockdown,” says photographer Olly Burn. “After the long hiatus, fitness levels may have been low, but this was overpowered by determination and a desire to play.”
