Thanks to all those who have submitted to the CR Photography Annual so far. For any latecomers we have now extended the deadline until October 2 to give everyone opportunity to enter.
Our categories are:
Personal/Non-published: every photographer has personal projects into which he or she puts their heart and soul. Our Personal/Non-published category celebrates those projects, giving photographers the ability to let the world see the images that are their pride and joy.
Best use of photography in advertising and marketing campaigns: the advertising and design industries understand the power of the image to tell a story and communicate an idea. This new category, open to both the creators and commissioners of photography (at advertising agencies, design studios and in-house), celebrates those images and will feature those campaigns (both still and moving image) in which brilliant photography works in harmony with great creative ideas and executions.
Best use of photography in editorial/books (inc portraits, still life, reportage/news): this category will celebrate the best in editorial photography and the art directors and publishers who commission it, whether that is a brilliant still life shot, reportage piece or cover portrait.
Best use of photography in fashion: from the classic magazine shoot, to online product photography, look books and advertising campaigns, this category celebrates the best photography (and moving image projects by photographers) commissioned by the fashion industry.
Best use of CGI/retouching: a category to celebrate the often overlooked skills of CG artists in creating both still and moving images and the brilliant skills of the retoucher. Work will be judged on both technical skill and the ability of the final image to deliver the creative idea.
Best original stock photography – RM and RF: celebrating images shot for and art directed by image libraries, showcasing the brilliant photography now being created in this important area of photography.
NEW – Student Photographer: In addition to this, our new free to enter Student Photographer category welcomes all current students and those graduating this year to share their work with no limitations on genre.
