Last night we launched the 2011 Photography Annual at the Aubin Gallery in east London. Thanks to everyone who made it along and congratulations to the Best in Book winners who picked up their awards on the night…

We shared the gallery space with artist Yasam Sasmazer’s series of wooden children from her current exhibition Illuminated Darkness (Patrick blogged about it here) which made for a few double takes as the night went on.

Thanks to everyone who came to the event; and also to Peroni, Vitamin Water, Antalis McNaughton, Berry Place Models, MTA Digital, Corbis, and the Aubin Gallery. Here are a few snaps from the night.

Did we mention it was our biggest issue in six years? That’s one strong table

Here’s what you could have won: a Photography Annual Best in Book award

It’s a fiction, an addiction

Visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum’s autumn blockbuster exhibition, Postmodernism: Style and Subversion, 1970–1990, I had a minor epiphany in front of a chest of drawers.
