Having started out as a classical pianist, “with a penchant for building his own computers and synthesisers”, Andrew Melchior has written, performed and produced music for himself and others and is now also renowned for his experiments in digital media, for artists including Massive Attack and Björk. Melchior acted as Technical Advisor to Björk for work featured in Björk Digital, an ongoing touring virtual reality exhibition featuring VR music videos for the singer’s ninth studio album, Vulnicura. Björk and her collaborators are widely seen to be at the cutting edge of digital experimentation in music.
