Björk of course needs no introduction. Renowned across the world for her innovations in music, she is also a creative leader in terms of her visual output. Björk has long championed the work of new directors, working with both Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry early in their careers, and continuing to support up-and-coming talent including, more recently, Jesse Kanda and Andrew Thomas Huang. With a particular interest in the use of technology within art, Björk has been an early adopter of many tech movements, creating an elaborate and beautiful app for the release of her album Biophilia, and investing significantly in virtual reality. An exhibition of the VR films created for her albums Vulnicura and Utopia has toured globally.
