Danaé Gosset on why making music videos is empowering

The director talks about her mixed-media approach to animation and why creating music videos provides endless possibilities for creativity

Danaé Gosset specialises in mixed-media animation, and has created work for the likes of Tsha and Mac Miller as well as brands such as Apple and Nike. She often experiments with different techniques, an approach that can make her work harder to create but which aligns with her life philosophy.

“The understanding that taking shortcuts rarely leads to true fulfilment, and the challenges we embrace often yield the most distinct outcomes,” she explains. “This belief is something I hold dear and consistently apply to my creative work. When faced with discomfort, I remind myself that I’m likely on the right path and consciously lean into it.”
