Ikea has started the year with an advertising bang, in the form of this charming new film, directed by Dougal Wilson and created by Mother London, which forms part of the brand’s ‘Wonderful Everyday’ campaign…

The ad sees a flock of T-shirts flying around some dramatic countryside before arriving in a town and settling into an Ikea wardrobe. As well as the expected great direction from Wilson, it features considerable post by MPC and some lovely puppeteering work by Blinkink directors Jonny & Will.

The spot is the latest in Ikea’s ‘Wonderful Everyday’ series of ads. It shares the quirky poetic charm of the previous ads, which include a kitchen in a whirl, and the more epic There’s No Bed Like Home. Ikea constantly sets the bar high in its advertising, and this new spot delivers once again. Lovely stuff.
