Just Eat: Did Somebody Say commercial

Category: Production Design; Entrant: Radical Media

Just Eat moved popstar Katy Perry into an oversized doll’s house for its Did Somebody Say ad campaign, which emphasised the huge range of meals on offer through the food delivery app. The spot takes place inside a lavish, if slightly warped, world that embraces the same cartoonish aesthetic you’d find in a real-life doll’s house. Exterior shots show the home in all its cutaway glory, while interior footage reveals food-themed design choices, such as a vegetable mosaic bathroom floor, or carrot cushions.

It’s clear that no detail was spared in crafting the set, which is full of moments you might miss on the first watch, including cupcake-shaped topiary, portraits of aristocratic pooches, and seashell planters.

As you might expect from the ‘Queen of Camp’, the popstar’s costumes are also top-notch, running the gamut from sushi hair rollers to an epic pink vinyl dress, studded with ice cream cones.
