Les Amants
Noemie Goudal’s series Les Amants (The Lovers) formed part of her Photography MA degree show at the Royal College of Art. Goudal says the series aims to present “new perspectives within the photographic canvas”, whereby materials such as metal, paper and, as here in Cascade, plastic sheeting, collide with natural settings.  Goudal is set for a solo exhibition in October at the HotShoe Gallery, London.

Shot against a pure white light background, the colours of this Blue-Fronted Amazon’s plumage, shot by American photographer Andrew Zuckerman, really come to life. For his Bird project, the latest to be flagged up and shown on Dowling Duncan’s Show-off online gallery, Zuckerman has shot dozens of birds in this way and last year self-published a book of the project entitled Bird.
