Hidden Talents

Corbis’ Creatives Behind The Lens competition reveals the talents of the creative community’s frustrated photographers

Creatives Behind the Lens originated in Paris when photolibrary Corbis France teamed up with the French Art Directors Club to invite people from the creative industry to submit their unpublished photography work. Corbis launched a UK version last year. For the 2006 UK competition, entrants were invited to submit up to four previously unpublished photographs to be assessed by a panel of judges consisting of: Siri Vorbeck, director of creative imagery EMEA, Corbis; Neil Lankester, creative director, Ogilvy Design; Jonathan Hubbard, creative director, Interbrand; Coneyl Jay, photographer and Patrick Burgoyne, editor, Creative Review. The judges chose 35 images which were then exhibited in London in July. Shown here is a selection of the judges’ favourites.
