Training firefighters from across the globe, the instructors at the International Fire Training Centre near Durham work at one of the top teaching centres in the world. Here, firefighters learn how to cope with everything from oil platform fires, to burning aircraft and, more poignantly at the time, tower blocks and confined spaces filled with thick smoke.
