The spot sees a hapless office worker struggling to concentrate at work while being relentlessly observed by an overbearing boss and a series of aggravating co-workers. Salvation comes in the form of a KitKat, the eating of which, in a somewhat unlikely twist, transforms the building into a rocket which then hurtles into space, giving our hero the ‘ultimate break’ in the process.
At the end of the film, viewers are encouraged to go online to website breakultime-kitkat.fr where they can offer their ideas for the ultimate break and also upload films. One of the ideas suggested will be used in another commercial as part of a later installment of the campaign.
