London Pride Jubilee by Todd Antony

Honourable Mention: Advertising

In 2019, the Pride movement celebrated the Pride Jubliee, honouring the past 50 years of LGBT+ activism. For the London Pride Jubilee, Todd Antony shot a series of portraits featuring real people from across the LGBT+ community portrayed as royals. Each image was intended to symbolise a different milestone for LGBT+ rights – from the Stonewall uprising in 1969 to the legalisation of same-sex marriage in 2014. The portrait shown here recognises the lifting of the ban on LGBT people serving in the UK military, which took place in 2000.
