Mariscal: Framestore Rebrand

Framestore, has returned to Javier Mariscal of Barcelona for an update of his original identity work for the London-based post-production house

The new logo is made up of a selection of hand-drawn letter forms that all differ stylistically but come together to form the word Framestore. The idea is that each of the letters has its own character and can be animated for on-screen appearances.

“You have to be prepared to take risks when you work with Mariscal,” says Framestore’s joint ceo Sharon Reed, “because he will never give you something classic or conventional, but the reward is something unique. He immediately saw that the design should originate with a logo that offered a multitude of animation opportunities.”
