Marque: Where We Are Book

Where We Are celebrates the design scene in Scotland’s six largest cities: Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling

Developed by Joseph Burrin at design studio Marque and editors Emma Halliday and Stacey Hunter of The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture Design and the City, it is a ‘legacy project’ from last year’s Six Cities Design Festival, promoting the work of designers through essays and photographs.

The book also includes listings of where to go and what to do in each city, all contributed by people living there. In an innovative step, the accompanying photography was sourced from Flickr. “We [wanted] unusual portraits of the cities rather than tourist information-style shots,” says Marque.

The book is available to buy from The Lighthouse shop.
