Here’s our latest round-up of great ad work from around the world. Unsurprisingly, some of it has an Olympics flavour: first up, some new print work from Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam for Powerade….

The ads form part of the Powerade ‘Power Through’ campaign, which includes both TV and print work. A selection of the posters are shown below, along with the main TV spot (which aired on YouTube in March).

P&G’s latest Olympics spot is up next. Continuing the ‘Thank You Mom’ campaign, the ad shows how athletes will always be kids in their mothers’ eyes. Agency: Wieden + Kennedy Portland. Creative directors: Danielle Flagg, Karl Lieberman; Creatives: Laddie Peterson, James Moslander; Director: Daniel Kleinman; Production company: Epoch Films.

Sticking with sport, here’s a new documentary short created for Jordan, which tells the story of an all-female basketball team in Iraq. The film is one of four new shorts created as part of the ‘Rise Above’ campaign by digital agency Blast Radius.

VW has released a series of online films (two shown above), which see various speedy individuals (including a speed Rubik’s Cuber and beatboxer) pit their talents against VW cars to see who is faster. Fold7 is behind this spot for Carlsberg, which spoofs The Great Escape. Instead of escaping prison though, the spot sees a group of lads use their skills to bring beer into a spa. Creative directors: Ryan Newey, John Yorke; Director: Peter Lydon; Production company: 76 Ltd; Post production: Munky

Greenpeace’s latest film aims to raise awareness of the plight of the Arctic polar bears, with a new film that sees a bear wandering homeless around a city. Director: Michael Geoghegan; Production company: Partizan.
