Offf festival returns with an exciting and eclectic line up

Over 70 speakers from across the fields of art, design, and digital culture will speak at the four-day event, held in Barcelona in April

Offf Festival

Now in its 24th year, Offf has built a reputation for attracting a wide range of talent to speak each year at the Disseny Hub in Barcelona. For 2024, this includes a mix of established names such as digital art pioneer Joshua Davis, director David Wilson, lettering artist Jessica Hische, and designer Stefan Sagmeister (who will be in conversation with illustrator Ben Tallon), as well as exciting new names to the industry.

Digital fashion artist Stephy Fung will share her experiences on navigating the creative industries, and there will be live presentations by 3D artist Sam Rolfes and muralist Timothy Goodman. Among the other names already announced are talks by Buck, Vallée Duhamel, and Marko Pfann. The full line up for the 2024 event can be viewed here.

As well as talks, there will be a number of workshops and masterclasses held during the festival. Media partner Adobe will present a series of free masterclasses at the Adobe Creativity Hub, providing practical knowledge and showcasing its latest tools and products, as well as offering Adobe Live and Portfolio review sessions.

Wix Studio will offer a workshop for young web designers on how to present their projects and pitch during the festival, while Houdini will present a series of Houdini Saturday Talks with guest artists who will share tips and tricks they use in their creative process, followed by Q&A sessions. Zetafonts, an independent type foundry, which will also offer a keynote talk dedicated to typography.

Offf also presents a new programme this year titled The Next Us, which will showcase work by the new generation of emerging talent from the design schools of Barcelona.

ManvsMachine has created this year’s visual campaign to launch the festival, which is titled Lifffe/Ffforms and aims to reveal “an abstract family of living forms derived from the feelings and emotions we share in our daily lives as creative individuals”. It looks lovely too, and features sound design by Resonate.
