Having shot for the likes of British Vogue and Elle, it’s not surprising that Catherine Losing has built up a large collection of fashion mags over the years. Not wanting them to go to waste, every year the still-life photographer and director repurposes old magazines as seed starters for her vegetable patch.

More recently, her hobby has developed into a personal series, which depicts tiny green shoots beginning to emerge from scraps of logo-adorned paper. “I always think it looks like a weird trend forecast,” says Losing. “Gucci is a vigorous bean. Dior a pea. Louis Vuitton was doing great until a snail moved in. Miu Miu has a bit of frost damage. J Crew is dead.”
