Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling is the star of Gucci Valigeria, a campaign shot by Glen Luchford showcasing the brand’s Savoy travel collection. Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele was inspired by the artists, writers and filmmakers who have travelled the world with their Gucci travel pieces.

As such, he wanted the campaign’s protagonist to encounter a ‘non-place’ “that is first and foremost a mental place”, in homage to the creative visionaries who were able to “build imaginary places” in their works.

Gosling is pictured on the move as he carts his sprawl of Gucci luggage everywhere from the coastline to a shadowy motel room, with only his travel cases for company. The piles of luggage could easily be taken as heavy product placement but instead function as the supporting cast in this dream-like campaign.
