When Guy Bolongaro was commissioned by Airbnb to create a photo diary of a family road trip to an unusual destination of his choice in the UK, he and his family couldn’t believe their luck. They opted for a replica of Finnish architect Matti Suuronen’s flying saucer-inspired Futuro House in Redberth, South Wales, and hit the road for an unforgettable few days.

The candid and often chaotic photos formed the basis of the brand’s campaign celebrating the possibilities of travel. “The Airbnb was truly cosmic, with landing lights and a smoke machine,” says Bolongaro. “The kids were in their element and I think that shows in the images. Pure joy.
