As the BBC celebrates its centenary this year, the question around the future of the licence fee marks an uncertain period in its history. In light of this, the public service broadcaster’s anniversary campaign, from BBC Creative, can simultaneously be viewed as a rallying cry for its role at the heart of British culture.

Accompanying a cleverly spliced together film, the OOH campaign saw Sam Wright travel around the UK to shoot iconic British scenes. “The idea was how the BBC is not only an institution, but one that inspires a wide range of people through the broad spectrum of media it puts out – celebrating TV, radio, the shipping forecast and much more,” says the photographer.
