“This project is a calendar, but it is not one with a great respect for time. It is anti-time,” says photographer Prince Gyasi, who is the first Black photographer to shoot the legendary Pirelli Calendar, now in its 60th year.

Timelessness was the overarching theme of this shoot. Studio Dream worked with Gyasi to design a series of sets for the talent to be able to effectively convey the narrative of timelessness, pinpointing community, life, Ghanaian culture and the importance of the Black experience.

The images feature an impressive lineup of talent, including Naomi Campbell, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Idris Elba, Jeymes Samuel, Teyana Taylor, Angela Bassett, Marcel Desailly, Tiwa Savage, Margot Lee Shetterly, Amoako Boafo and Amanda Gorman.

The sets were designed to represent what makes each individual timeless, with the images shot across two continents, firstly in London, with the final part of the campaign shot in Ghana’s capital city Accra and also Kumasi. The entire campaign took six months to complete.
