New charity campaign aims to bust myths about prostate checks

Created by TBWA\MCR, the poster campaign for cancer awareness charity Prost8 points out that men have the wrong idea when it comes to check ups

Prostate cancer is one of highest cancer risks for men but is treatable when found in time. What puts people off being tested though is the myth that it can only be done via a finger in the rectum.

To challenge this, Prost8 has created a series of eye-catching posters for prostate cancer awareness month, which point out that often a simple blood test is all that is needed. The photographs were shot by Sophie Harris-Taylor, who is renowned for her sensitive and intimate portrayals of family life and explorations of the body.

The ads are currently running OOH across London. “We’re incredibly proud to work with Prost8 to bring this campaign to life,” says Lisa Nichols, ECD at TBWA\MCR. “The message is something every man should know, and this work has the impact and humour to change lives.”
