Patar was one of four artists asked to recreate Lost Masterpieces as part of the Adobe campaign, which was devised by ad agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
“I was tasked to make [my image] look as close to the original as possible, entirely out of Adobe Stock photography,” Patar says. “It was extremely challenging and one of my most difficult projects.”
Used three or four stock images per face, merging an eye from one with lips from another. And as one of the faces in the original painting was a Rembrandt self-portrait, Patar put his own portrait in the same place in his recreated version.
