Publicis.Poke: Renault Clio, The French Exchange

Honourable Mention: Advertising, Commercials

Historically, the Renault Clio has been known for the strong storytelling in its advertising, particularly the lighthearted tale of Papa and Nicole, which ran over a series of ads in the 1990s. For this new campaign, Publicis.Poke wanted to return to this narrative approach, but through a contemporary love story.

Set to a new, melancholic version of Oasis’ song Wonderwall, the ad tells the tale of two girls who meet on a French exchange at school and remain friends, before later falling in love and raising a family together. In the backdrop, the ad traces 30 years of the Clio via different versions of the car.
