Glasgow International runs from 20 April to 7 May, with 90 exhibitions and 80 events taking place across the city.

Risotto – a risograph studio founded by designer Gabriella Marcella – has organised a fringe programme of creative workshops and an exhibition to coincide with the festival.

The exhibition will be on display in Gallery 1 of the Lighthouse from 23 March until 7 May and will include riso prints and zines from around the world. Risotto is hosting a free opening party in the space on March 23 and another on April 27. 

Workshops include multicolour riso printing with Seoul design studio Corners,  collaborative zine-making with Wobby.club (the Netherlands team behind riso magazine Wobby) and an all-day printmaking class with Atelier Bingo exploring colour and pattern. Workshops run from 10am to 5pm and cost from £68 to £98.

Risotto is also putting on four ‘poster nights’ workshops – including an afternoon one open to families and children. 

Poster nights tickets cost £14. Each one lasts two hours and Risotto says they are part workshop, part social event: “We prepare a handful of designs … and assign each to a colour drum. You turn up, have a drink, talk shop, then join a queue to start creating your own combination of prints.”
