A follow-up to her 2012 photobook Roxane, this series was published by Oodee as Roxane II. Like its predecessor, the series is a form of visual diary exploring the relationship between Sassen and her muse. The series was conceived as a mutual portrait, an exchange in which the artist’s and model’s individualities blur, leaving traces on each other. Sassen’s presence is perceived through her shadow which appears in some images and by scraps of paper that bear the imprint of her breasts.
