Saving soles: Daniel Sannwald’s A/W 15 Camper campaign

Photographer Daniel Sannwald and makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench have created a beautiful new campaign for Camper that draws on religious imagery among other themes

Two of the ads pair images with renaissance references with product shots.

But the campaign also encompasses shots that pick up on the current trend for bright, flat-colour backgrounds.

And even the ‘cool older ladies’ trend which we explored in our June issue.

In the campaign’s video counterpart we are invited to “discover the worlds of Alaska, Gemstone, Wood, Ski, and Metal, and meet the inhabitants of the Camper Universe”.

German photographer Sannwald has worked for Camper before, producing, among other work, this video for the S/S 15 campaign with art director Romain Kremer, who also art directed the print campaign shown here.
