This project was created by Getty Images in response to a survey for Dove that revealed that 70% of women still don’t feel represented in media and advertising. An ongoing library of more than 5,000 photographs has been created, aimed at breaking beauty stereotypes by showing female-identifying and non-binary individuals as they are – not as others believe they should be.
#ShowUs is created in partnership with Dove and Girlgaze, a diverse global community of women, non-binary, and female-identifying creatives, and features images created by 116 female photographers from 39 countries.
