It seems our obsession with the 80s is still going strong. Last year brought us 80s themed shows (Netflix and Stranger Things), a remake of Stephen King’s classic horror It (set in the same decade as the original) and a sequel to cult sci-fi film Blade Runner. Topshop is currently selling Wham! t-shirts alongside retro sportswear and cycling shorts are making a comeback.

Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity has also drawn on the 1980s for its latest fundraising campaign. To mark the 30th anniversary of the charity’s Wishing Well campaign – which raised £54 million for a new building back in 1988 – it has commissioned 12 designers and illustrators to create 80s-inspired graphic t-shirts.

The t-shirts form part of the charity’s ‘Then. Now. Always’ campaign. Designers include Hattie Stewart, Anthony Burrill, Chrissie Abbott, Crispin Finn and Glasgow screen printing studio Risotto.

Each one costs £20 and 100% of profits will go to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital to help fund treatment and research.

You can buy the t-shirts online at gosh.org/shop80s until April 6.
