TfL × PlayStation 5 installation

Category: Installations & Exhibitions; Entered by: PlayStation and Red Consultancy

For the launch of PlayStation 5 in the UK, PlayStation partnered with Transport for London to replace the iconic Underground roundels at Oxford Circus station with the four PlayStation shapes – triangle, circle, cross and square.

Those venturing into Oxford Circus station found the shapes had also made their way into many areas of station signage and branding. In addition to this, four other stations across London featured takeovers by characters from PlayStation games: Mile End station paid homage to Marvel’s Spider-Man; Ratchet & Clank was referenced at Lancaster Gate; Seven Sisters became Gran Turismo 7 Sisters and West Ham was renamed Horizon Forbidden West Ham.
