The CR podcast episode 18: Artist Pete Fowler
Our latest edition of the CR Podcast sees CR’s Eliza Williams in conversation with artist Pete Fowler. We look back at Fowler’s career, from his early inspirations to how the industry has changed over the past three decades
Our conversation with Pete Fowler coinicides with this release of his new book, Decades of Lead, which is published by Unbound. The book collects examples from his sketchbooks, which Fowler uses to experiment with ideas but also constantly refers to for inspiration. Over 350 drawings are featured, stretching back over 30 years.
In the podcast, Fowler also discusses his work for long-term collaborators Super Furry Animals, as well as his early years looking for work in 1990s London. He also offers up some wise advice for those wanting to make a career in illustration and design now.
