Photographer Christopher Wahl has created an intriguing website that offers an unusual portrait of National Ballet of Canada principal dancer Heather Ogden through a series of short films.

The site, which can be found at theheatherproject.org, is simple in design, featuring 25 boxes, each of which contains a short moving image sequence that hones in on one aspect of Ogden. The 25 films come together to offer a detailed and intimate portrait of the dancer, and give an insight into the physical dedication that her work requires. Wahl describes the project as “a photographer’s view of the moving image, as if to point the camera but not press the button”.

This trailer below offers a sense of the films, and still images are shown below. Visit theheatherproject.org for more.
