The White Stripes may have split last year but you can revisit their heyday in a series of photographs by Ewen Spencer currently on show at the KK Outlet in London…

The photographs are taken from Three’s A Crowd Vol. 2, Spencer’s second publication to catalogue the five years he spent following the band and observing their rise to global fame. He first met Jack and Meg in 2001, the year their breakthrough album White Blood Cells was released, and went on to document them touring around the world. The book concludes in 2005, as their band play to their largest crowd. “I’d seen all I needed to see and all good things,” says Spencer. “Volume 2 of Three’s A Crowd shows the peak of one of the great rock ‘n’ roll bands of our time.”
