Thix Otherway

With around 80% of men and 50% of women experiencing hair loss in their lives, the market is worth an estimated $23.6 million globally. Thix – a portmanteau of ‘thick’ and ‘fix’ – was created to help people look after their hair while they’ve still got it. Design studio Otherway was asked to help Thix stand out as a trusted brand within in a crowded, confusing haircare market.

Inspired by retro health and beauty packaging, the design features a fresh green palette that references the product’s mint and eucalyptus scent, while the product container is made from aluminium and is recyclable. The simple wordmark is designed to be a trusted stamp of authority, while the copy is intended to be clear and level-headed. Otherway also created a brand mascot.
