Uber and Pepsi Max offer ‘Future Day’ fans a ride in a DeLorean

Yes, it’s #BacktotheFuture day and, yes, you may be able to ride through London in an actual DeLorean if you use the Uber app this afternoon

To celebrate today being the day – October 21 2015, no less – that Marty McFly travelled to in 1989 film Back To The Future II, Uber and Pepsi Max are inviting fans of the BTTF franchise to experience time travel – of a sort – via a trip in a DeLorean car.

A range of DeLoreans will be on hand in London today until 3pm to users of the Uber app. They are offering free rides, complete with Pepsi Max, apparently, in a nod to the BTTFII scene where Marty orders a ‘Pepsi Perfect’ from the amusingly-titled, Café ‘80s.

Users of the Uber app should enter the promo code “PEPSIMAX” to unlock a DeLorean icon, which will then give customers the chance to ride in one of the cars, where available.
