As the invites and press releases roll in, a few of the students at Stockport College told us about their interesting take on the traditional degree show model. They’ve hired a removals van and are taking the show around various locations in Manchester, with the identity for the show, shown above, created using left over cardboard and packing tape.

Students Alan Dalby, Ed Johnson, John Newton and Chris Shearston devised the idea, working closely with Manchester-based designer, Dave Sedgwick, who acted as a mentor and executive creative director on the project. The project was overseen by Stockport tutors Ian Murray, Mandy Smith and James Corazzo. You can see the students’ lorry on 15 June or visit the full show at Stockport College from 14 June to 17 June. More from CR

A Cautious Welcome

In our CGI special last year, photographer Carl Lyttle claimed that CGI would kill off studio photography. One year on, Diane Smyth finds that not only does photography still have a role, but that some photographers at least are beginning to see CGI as more opportunity than threat.

Modern Toss: London Museum of Urban Shit-Naks

Modern Toss is bringing its delightfully skewed world view to a London gallery space for the first time next week, with a two-week-long show at the Maverik Gallery in Shoreditch…

Stuffed and sorted

From the department of WTF come two new ad campaigns, each starring stuffed toys whose outward cuteness is undercut with more than a hint of menace.
