This is a body of personal work by photographer Alexander Coggin, selected for The Photography Annual 2018, an annual award scheme from CR celebrating the best images, those who make them and those who commission them

Much of Coggin’s work features his husband’s family in their affluent vacation spot in upstate Michigan, USA. For this project, he extended his view to encompass the local community, shooting the opening night of the children’s Operetta (an annual tradition).
