Exhibition of work from graphic designer and experimental typographer Jurriaan Schrofer, accompanied by an interactive installation from multidisciplinary design studio LUST that responds to Schrofer’s work.
Schrofer, considered to be one of the Netherlands’ most influential designers, designed everything by hand, but also consdered to be “a computer designer of the pre-computer age”, due to the dynamic aesthetic of his work which appears as though it was designed with mechanical aid. For LUST, noted for their use of cutting-edge new media and technologies, the computer is an indispensable tool in their work – similar visually to Schrofer but poles apart in process.
