Director and animator Kris Hofmann has created this charming ad for the Latvian and Baltic Energy Efficiency Facility, an EU energy efficiency programme that aims to encourage residents of crumbling Soviet-era buildings to sign up to renovation works. Hofmann created the film using a mix of styles, including 3D models for the set and characters, before creating the faces and textures by drawing them and then mapping them onto the models in AfterEffects. The result is a beautiful piece of animation.
