Childline and NSPCC have launched a new campaign, #ListenToYourSelfie aimed at helping children and teenagers recognise and protect themselves from sexual exploitation. Creative Agency Don’t Panic have made two films for the campaign, both drive home the message of choice. They follow a protagonist through a potentially dangerous situation, and end at the moment of choice leaving viewers to imagine different scenarios that could have played out. Selfies on the victims’ phone, computer and framed photographs come to life and offer warning, reflecting the internal conflict often experienced by victims of abuse.
