WORK: Flat-e’s 360 teaser for Nathan Fake album Providence

The teaser for electronic musician Nathan Fake’s fourth album Providence offers a trippy 360 experience, with clashing colours, glitchy visuals, spinning armchairs and exploding shapes.

The teaser was created by Matt Bateman (Flat-e), who has designed live show visuals for Jon Hopkins, LFO and Jamie Lidell. (Bateman used projection mapping to create responsive visuals for Lidell, which could be controlled using a mic, and dropped a truck full of inflatable LED balls into the crowd during Hopkins’ performance at Beacons Festival in 2014).

Bateman has also designed the album artwork for Providence and is now working with Fake on visuals for his upcoming tour. The album is released on Ninja Tune on March 10 and the tour will travel to Australia, Europe and Asia from March to May this year.
