WORK: Jean Jullien’s illustrated labels for a new range of wines from Majestic

Majestic have launched a new range of ‘Majestic Loves…’ wines, with labels illustrated by French graphic artist Jean Jullien. The front of the labels have no words, which is atypical in wine packaging and instead hero the illustrations which ‘capture the cheeky side of wine’.

The labels hope to highlight the ‘feeling’ of the wines instead of the grape, region or other more technical characteristics of the wine. Majestic’s head of brand marketing Jamie Patterson said “We explored some more conventional ‘wine’ imagery, but rather than stuffy pictures and pretentious text, we opted for something fun.”
