It is common for inspiration to strike while in the shower, but director Michel Gondry has gone one step further in this sweet new film created to accompany the track City Lights by The White Stripes, by actually filming it in there. Made without a commission – Third Man Records describe it as a “surprise gift” from the director – the film sees Gondry drawing out scenes from the song on the steamy shower door. He can just about be seen through the mist. The song was written at the time of The White Stripes’ 2005 album Get Behind Me Satan but recorded by Jack White this year. Production company: Partizan.
