Illustrator Steven Wilson has teamed up with Karl Lagerfeld to create a limited edition range of clothes and accessories for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

The Steven Wilson x Karl Lagerfeld collection includes jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags and phone cases. Items are priced between £24 and £249 and feature colourful images of Lagerfeld and his pet cat Choupette as well as a camera, a pair of sunglasses and the slogan ‘#TeamKarl’.

Wilson – who recently created some lovely covers for Vintage Classics’ HG Wells series – says graphics were created using a three-colour printing technique. Magenta, yellow and cyan shapes were laid on top of one another to create each design. “The beauty of this process is that where colours overlap, you get secondary colours — red, green and so on,” he adds.

The collection is available to buy online and in stores. Karl Lagerfeld has also commissioned a striking animation to promote its release.
